Schedule Change Request
REQUESTS are not guaranteed. Not all requests are possible due to classes being full and limited availability. If your change is granted it will appear on your schedule. All courses at WGHS are year long.
Schedule changes are permitted for the following reasons:
- If a student is in the wrong level of a course please state what the new course should be. Example: “I am in Algebra 1 and should be in Geometry”
- If a senior needs a course to graduate
- If there is a hole in the schedule (an empty period in the schedule)
- If a student is not enrolled in 5 or 6 classes
- If a student is not enrolled in an English class
- If a student is enrolled in a repeated course that they have received credit for taking (unless Leadership, weightlifting, choir, wind ensemble, jazz band)
- If a student wants to be a TA for a classroom (only per teacher approval in writing to Ms. Hanna or Ms. Leeb)
- If a student needs to be placed in a Learning Center for credit recovery
Schedule changes will NOT be permitted for the following reasons:
- If a student asks for a particular teacher
- If a student wants to swap periods
- Dropping an AP/Honors/Accelerated course (see contract)
- Dropping a course mid-year
Please Note
- Schedule change requests are ONLY done through the QR code, not verbally, or through email.
- No dropping, adding, or switching classes after the WGHS drop date AUG 20th NO EXCEPTIONS
- If a schedule is changed you will see a new schedule on IC, do not email the admin
- Once a schedule is changed, it will not be reversed
- Do not submit more than one request for the same reason
- Ms. Hanna and Ms. Leeb are the ONLY people on campus that are permitted to change schedules
Please note that students will receive a drop F grade for all classes after the drop period (per SJUSD handbook)
